About the Group

This is a trauma-focused consultation group for any pre-licensed therapist interested in learning more about incorporating IFS, relational psychodynamic therapy, somatic work, and DBT into their practice. Common topics include:

  • Managing enactments and transference/countertransference

  • Working with complex PTSD and attachment wounding

  • Identifying and treating dissociation and dissociative disorders

  • Processing ethical dilemmas

  • Exploring the challenges of being a new therapist

The Details

  • Who: Any pre-licensed therapist (trainee, intern, associate, etc.)

  • When: Monthly

  • Next group: Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10am-11am PT

  • Where: Virtual via Google Meet

  • Fee: Pay what you can, suggested donation $25-50

  • Six attendees maximum 

  • This group is not clinical supervision, and does not count towards hours for licensure.

About Your Group Leader: Laura

The group will be led by Laura DeSantis, LPCC, an integrative therapist with over a decade of experience working with diverse populations and varying levels of trauma and dissociation. Laura specializes in complex and relational trauma, dissociation, and anxiety and is deeply passionate about both utilizing and teaching effective healing modalities for these areas. 

Laura is a senior adjunct faculty member at the California Institute of Integral Studies, a clinical supervisor, and offers integrative trauma-focused consultation and business coaching to other therapists.
